约翰所著的耶稣传记——耶稣的安葬 这些事以后，有亚利马太人约瑟，是耶稣的门徒，只因怕犹太人，就暗暗地作门徒，他来求彼拉多，要把耶稣的身体领去。彼拉多允准，他就把耶稣的身体领去了。 (19:38) 又有尼哥底母，就是先前夜里去见耶稣的，带着没药，和沉香，约有一百斤前来。 (19:39) 他们就照犹太人殡葬的规矩，把耶稣的身体，用细麻布加上香料裹好了。 (19:40) 在耶稣钉十字架的地方，有一个园子。园子里有一座新坟墓，是从来没有葬过人的。 (19:41) 只因是犹太人的预备日，又因那坟墓近，他们就把耶稣安放在那里。 (19:42) 约翰 19:38-42

The Burial of Jesus
After these things, Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away Jesus' body. Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body. Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. So they took Jesus' body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid. Then because of the Jews' Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand) they laid Jesus there. John 19:38-42
