路加所著的耶稣传记——耶稣治好瘫痪病人 有一天耶稣教训人，有法利赛人和教法师在旁边坐着，他们是从加利利各乡村和犹太并耶路撒冷来的。主的能力与耶稣同在，使他能医治病人。 (5:17) 有人用褥子抬着一个瘫子，要抬进去放在耶稣面前， (5:18) 却因人多，寻不出法子抬进去，就上了房顶，从瓦间把他连褥子缒到当中，正在耶稣面前。 (5:19) 耶稣见他们的信心，就对瘫子说，你的罪赦了。 (5:20) 文士和法利赛人就议论说，这说僭妄话的是谁？除了神以外，谁能赦罪呢？ (5:21) 耶稣知道他们所议论的，就说，你们心里议论的是什么呢？ (5:22) 或说，你的罪赦了，或说，你起来行走，哪一样容易呢？ (5:23) 但要叫你们知道人子在地上有赦罪的权柄，就对瘫子说，我吩咐你起来，拿你的褥子回家去吧。 (5:24) 那人当众人面前，立刻起来，拿着他所躺卧的褥子回家去，归荣耀与神。 (5:25) 众人都惊奇，也归荣耀与神，并且满心惧怕，说，我们今日看见非常的事了。 (5:26) 路加 5:17-26

Jesus Heals a Paralytic
It happened on one of those days, that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was with him to heal them. Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Jesus. Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the midst before Jesus. Seeing their faith, he said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?" But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, "Why are you reasoning so in your hearts? Which is easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you;' or to say, 'Arise and walk?' But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" (he said to the paralyzed man), "I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house." Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God. Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, "We have seen strange things today." Luke 5:17-26
