Can you explain the word picture Jesus uses (vs. 27) about how to rob the house of a strong man?
you need to use your intelligence like David with Goliah and tie the enemy so that he cannot attack you. That is the best weapon agianst brutal force. Keep calm and cool , rooted in prayers, and tie the enemy. Use the inspiration God sends you. Intelligence vs brutality another important gift of the Holy Spirit along with serenity that comes in rootedness in Spirituality. Knowing the beast its tentacles and attacking strategies. And also wehn we are at our wealkest and most vulnerable.

Well, the way I understand what Jesus was telling them. Was you must first bind Satan or the strong man in order plunder his house. For example: Satan, I bind you in name of Jesus and cast you out. Thank God! for his loving kindness and tender mercies. Amen!

In robbing the house of a strong man, you have to overpower and put him under your control. This can be done only when you have the capacity. Jesus said he could defeat satan and plunder his house because he Jesus had the capacity superior to satan. Bible says, The one in us is greater than the devil in the world. Remember as a temple of God, the holy spirit dwells in our houses, and is stronger than satan, so the holy spirit has capacity to plunder the devils goodies, clean the house, and reorganise for Christ`s sake.Amen.

since a man protects his house, and for this reason a strong man...actually the picture i see here is that for someone to rob anothers house he must first deal with the owner and finish him then go on and rob whatever is in the house, so if the owner of the house is stronger than the robber, then no robbery will take place for defeat will be on the robber`s side. thank you

Based on my understanding, God implies that Satan represents weakness while Jesus represents strength and eternal life.

Can you explain the word picture Jesus uses (vs. 27) about how to rob the house of a strong man?
Hello dear friends, This is somehow tricky but according to the way I understand a strong man is the one whose faith is in Jesus or in God.B`se there`s a crisis here where people are try to call jesus Beelzebul meaning the prince of demons and Jesus has to tell them that satan cann`t cast out satan b`se his kingdom will therefore fall. This implies that to cast out demons you have to be on the side of God believing Jesus and calling the presence of the holyspirit. So a strong man is on Jesus`s side and a weak man is on satan`s side.

The Bible says in the book of James 5 Vs 13 -19 , that the prayer of the reghteous man is effective which means that the strong man is the one who is reghteous before God and the unclean spirits cannot stand with him. Therefore , for us to cast out demons , we need to resist the devil and the devil will run away '' James 4 Vs 7'' . Thanks to God who is able to forgive any sin but if we sin against the Holy Spirit , Our sins are not forgiven. Brother and Sisters , let us be strong in the Lord so that the devil never attack us. Amen!!!

Jesus and Beelzebub

He came into a house. The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him: for they said, "He is insane." The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebul," and, "By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons."
He summoned them, and said to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can't stand, but has an end. But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house. Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"--because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."
