Can you explain the word picture Jesus uses (vs. 27) about how to rob the house of a strong man?
Yeah, he is talking about the demon. To cast out a demon, you have to use a power which will tie him and make him leave. But if he is similar to Him, how woluld he be able to fight with Him?For a stong man needs something stronger to be kiked out.

To rob a richman`s house one has to be with powerful weapons/ force so as to break in, therefore with God`s kingdom, you must have power to overcome the devil.

Mark`s Biography of Jesus - Jesus and Beelzebub
Satan is a cruel taskmaster that is working his evil magic into every vein of life. All of us are at great peril unless we fight together to stamp out this fallen angel. Only through the love of Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit can we feel safe and protected from this vermin. I once was caught in his evil web, lusting and cheating and stealing. Now, I look back on that past with disdain, and look forward to a future with God and Jesus and the Holy spirit, and rejoining with my parents, who I love dealrly and miss ever day I live.

To rob the house of the strong man
How can one enter into a strong man`s house? Except that he is more powerful than strong man`s house. We can picture it through sinners are become the dwelling place of satan for whoever gives up his soul to sin gives it up to the devil. It is Jesus alone who can deliver from the power of this bondage by trusting and receiving Christ to come into our lives to forgives our sins to make us what He wants us to be

Jesus and Beelzebub

He came into a house. The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him: for they said, "He is insane." The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebul," and, "By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons."
He summoned them, and said to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can't stand, but has an end. But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house. Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"--because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."
