Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
We , Gos`s children must be ready at all times. Prepared beacause we do not know when our invitation will come. We must be ready with a clean, pure and repentent heart at all times waiting for that invitation.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The king ''God'' was angry because his subjects did not respect his invitation. He asked them out of love, but they did not take Him seriously. When God invites us to live in His kingdom, we are expected to take it seriously, and prepare for it by putting on the right clothing so that as disciples of Jesus we may enter the kingdom of Heaven as the children of God. The people in the parable were unprepared in every way to receive the Lord, therefore they were destroyed.

Why was the King angry, and what point did Jesus have in making with this parable?
You only feel devastated upon knowing that all along your sujects who always act with respect hate you to the extent that they reject your banquet. The king had all good reasons to be angry. Jesus however wanted to draw a picture on what it looks like to God, to love and care about the people whom he sends open invitations to his Kingdom, but turn them down.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
because it was a lack of honor, lack of respect, lack of acknowledgment, lack of love and turning away from grace and joyous, happy celebration. Jesus point is that God desires our response to His invitation to the Kingdom of God. We should be ready, gracious, prepare to be in the presence of a gracious, forgiving God.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
This parable of the wedding banquet is about God who is the king and his son Jesus who invited all believers to his son`s wedding. But the believers were to busy in their lives to drop what they were doing to come to the wedding feast. And gave them a second chance to come but would not attend. So he sent out his angels to gather any one who would come like the lame, blind and poor. The point Jesus was making is if you are ready or not he is coming for his bride which is the body of christ. So be ready and be prepared for the wedding invite and be clothed in wedding clothes. We are God`s chosen people so be ready in name of Jesus. Praise the Lord!

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The king was so angry coz the people whom he invited to the feast weren`t worthy and they left the party without reasonable excuses. Jesus wanted to point out that many people are called but few are chosen.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The invited guests were the Israelites. They were given God`s message and they chose to mock and kill the prophets. The people from the highways are the Gentiles. The message is now in their ''our'' hands. We have to wear the garment provided in God`s word. Else we will find ourselves thrown into outer darkness.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet

Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. Again he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have made ready my dinner. My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!"' But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise, and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
"Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren't worthy. Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.' Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests. But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn't have on wedding clothing, and he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?' He was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.' For many are called, but few chosen."
