约翰所著的耶稣传记——耶稣是通往父的道路 多马对他说，主阿，我们不知道你往哪里去，怎么知道那条路呢？ (14:5) 耶稣说，我就是道路，真理，生命。若不借着我。没有人能到父那里去。 (14:6) 你们若认识我，也就认识我的父。从今以后，你们认识他，并且已经看见他。 (14:7) 腓力对他说，求主将父显给我们看，我们就知足了。 (14:8) 耶稣对他说，腓力，我与你们同在这样长久，你还不认识我吗？人看见了我，就是看见了父。你怎么说，将父显给我们看呢？ (14:9) 我在父里面，父在我里面，你不信吗？我对你们所说的话，不是凭着自己说的，乃是住在我里面的父作他自己的事。 (14:10) 你们当信我，我在父里面，父在我里面。即或不信，也当因我所作的事信我。 (14:11) 我实实在在地告诉你们，我所作的事，信我的人也要作。并且要作比这更大的事。因为我往父那里去。 (14:12) 你们奉我的名，无论求什么，我必成就，叫父因儿子得荣耀。 (14:13) 你们若奉我的名求什么，我必成就。 (14:14) 约翰 14:5-14

Jesus the Way to the Father
Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going. How can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him." Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, 'Show us the Father?' Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works' sake. Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:5-14
